V is for Visayan Hornbill
A personal favourite of the Vulnerable Species Alphabet, illustrating the majesty of birds, especially tropical birds with their exaggerated features and showy colours is a real treat. This hornbill is no exception. Found in my mother’s land of the Philippines, they make a loud ‘taric tarictic’ noise and are often camouflaged in the rainforest.
